About Guhantara

Set on Kanakapura Main Road in Bengaluru, Guhantara offers unique cave-like accommodation that has won awards for its innovative architecture.

En-suite rooms are uniquely designed to resemble a bygone era. An outdoor area overlooks the peaceful lake, and beautiful period antiques are interspersed throughout the theme-specific rooms.

From grand banquets and weddings to small seminars, there's a suitable space to host just about any function. Souvenirs can be bought from the little gift shop. Those looking for relaxation can indulge in an ayurvedic massage at the on-site spa, or opt for a refreshing swim.

The multi-cuisine Sambhojana Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meanwhile, the in-house Madhushala Bar offers speciality cocktails.

One of the most beautiful and spiritual places in Bengaluru, Art of Living Ashram is roughly ten kilometres from Guhantara. Raceway Motorsports, a fun go-karting track, is about six kilometres away.

Positive Reviews

The food is good

The staff are continually replenishing the dishes, and guests are impressed with the lovely presentation, and great taste too. At the end of the day, the high tea and scrumptious snacks are just what they need after a fun-filled day.

So much to do

Visitors find there's no time to get bored here. They enjoy the array of activities, from horse riding, cricket, and football, to adventure games for the kids, but they point out their favourite pass time, which is the rain dance after lunch.

Love the entrance

Travellers say first impressions really do count. One of the best parts of the vacation is arriving at the hotel. They get that real historic cave-like vibe as they enter, which sets the scene for a unique experience.

Negative Reviews

Pool could be cleaner

Although it's a great way to cool down, guests are a little hesitant to get in. The cleanliness of the pool is not up to most guests standards, which is a let-down, especially when it's on the list as one of the exciting activities to enjoy.

Not much space

All the fun and games are so popular, that each indoor and outdoor area where activities are on the go, becomes very crowded, and space is limited. Several guests feel rather claustrophobic in these situations and prefer to move over to the auditorium.

Can become expensive

Each separate activity has its own price, and when visitors realise this, they describe the venture as a bit of a costly outing.
