Positive Reviews

Reasonable rates and a free breakfast.

If you're looking for a great hotel at with sensible prices that won't wreck your budget, this might be the perfect spot. In addition to its great location, you'll also get a continental breakfast on the house—another great way to put a few more pence towards fun.

Within reach of downtown.

Although the hotel isn't in the middle of Budapest, it is fairly close to the city centre. The train station is a short stroll from the hotel and will bring you into the heart of this historic city, including the Chain Bridge, the Dandar Baths and the Palace of Arts, in a flash.

Large, comfortable and clean rooms.

When staying in an unfamiliar city, in a country where you may or may not speak the language, there’s likely one thing you want most in the world: a fresh, cosy place to come home to after a day of exploration. At the Leonardo Hotel Budapest, you’ll find spacious, pleasantly decorated and furnished lodgings that are meticulously cleaned every day.

Negative Reviews

Sluggish Wi-Fi may cause you to lag.

While the hotel does provide complimentary wireless service, some guests felt that it wasn't really powerful enough to maintain a strong connection. If you need a more powerful signal, you may wish to bring a hot spot with you or request a room closer to the lobby.

Light on the soundproofing.

Guests of the hotel have generally enjoyed the proximity to downtown and the delicious, authentic food. Some guests, however, haven’t been as fond of the poorly insulated walls, and the way they let in nearby racket. If a little noise could disturb your beauty rest, you may wish to bring along ear plugs.

Could have been a little nearer to downtown.

In general, most guests have enjoyed the rural neighborhood location of the Leonardo Hotel Budapest. Others have found it too far from the action. Even though historic downtown is a half-hour hike, there are nearby bus and rail stations that can rush you to Budapest’s numerous popular attractions.
