Positive Reviews

You'll feel like a VIP.

The staff at Cotswold Gateway are lovely. They are really friendly, accommodating and unfailingly polite. They will welcome you really warmly and deal with any question or query you have in a very kind and efficient manner. Nothing at all is too much trou

A prime position.

The hotel is in an excellent location. You'll really feel like you are in the heart of the Cotswolds. It is nice to walk down through Burford, with its stone cottages, shops, eateries and pubs. Parking is also easy here.

Delicious food, and lots of it.

The full English buffet breakfast is really fresh and tasty, with generous portions. The same can be said of the evening meals. Also, there are a decent number of vegetarian options, as well as traditional meat dishes.

Negative Reviews

You won't be blown away.

The water pressure in the showers at Cotswold Gateway isn't very strong. Indeed, at times it feels like it is only just usable. The water temperature is sometimes difficult to regulate too and the whole experience certainly won't leave you feeling overly

A bit noisy underfoot.

You'll likely experience quite a lot of noise from people stepping on creaky floorboards here. It can get a little annoying after a not too long. However, with an old building like this, it's perhaps to be expected.

It's all a little cramped.

While clean and tidy, several of the guestrooms are very much on the small side. You won't be afforded a huge amount of room to spread yourself out.
