About The Crags Hotel

The Crags Hotel offers 3-star B&B accommodation in the Central Scotland’s Callander village, 15.6 miles from Stirling and 45 minutes from Loch Lomond in The Trossachs National Park. Lake Menteith, Drummond Safari, Doune Castle and Loch Katrine, home to the Sir Walter Scott steam ship, are all found within 13 miles of this family-run establishment.

Each of the eight bedrooms is individually designed and carefully refurbished, with an en-suite bathroom or shower room, flat-screen TV and tea & coffee-making facilities.

The Crags Hotel offers a 2-day hunter-gathering course, free public area Wi-Fi and on-site parking.

Guests can relax with locals in the cosy pub, and the home-cooked breakfasts and restaurant menus use quality ingredients sourced in the region.

Plenty of opportunities for hiking, fishing and deer stalking are found nearby and Edinburgh is 52.7 miles away.

Positive Reviews

Genuine, friendly welcome.

If you are planning on going to The Crags, then you can be sure on receiving a genuine warm welcome from the family team who run the B&B.

Characterful, informal comfort.

Guests found the rooms and the overall establishment to be full of character, with clean rooms sporting quirky design, plenty of space, comfortable beds, an unpretentious atmosphere and great value for money.

High quality food in a relaxing environment.

From the excellent cooked Scottish breakfasts, including haggis, to high quality evening meals and the lively but relaxed environment of the bar and its roaring fire, dining and drinking went down well at The Crags.

Negative Reviews

Could use sprucing up.

Despite the majority of guests finding the decor to be lovely and original, a few others instead considered it to be a bit tired looking and in need of sprucing up.
