Positive Reviews

Staff incredibly friendly

The YHA Cambridge staff is without exception singled out as being a positive aspect of many guests’ stay The team is willing to help and has plenty of up-to-date information about what is going on on town during your stay.

New, clean and comfortable

You will find YHA Cambridge to be in very good condition, due to the recent upgrades and many guests were surprised to find such high quality accommodation in a hostel Aside from being clean and comfortable, the individual lights, plugs and shelves for each bed were favourites.

Breakfast should be tried

For a decently tasty, easy breakfast, the YHA option has left many satisfied due to its good value and wide selection.

Lovely location for centre

Guests have enjoyed being only a short walk away from the historic city centre and shops, and the bus and train links are within easy reach.

Negative Reviews

Nights can be noisy

The heavy fire exit doors can close with a heavy clunk and those staying in dormitories have sometime experienced the hostel drawback of snorers and coughers, so make sure to take your ear plugs if you are not a deep sleeper.

Internet access could be better

Those who wanted to use the Wi-Fi, but were not YHA members found the extra charges to be expensive and some also would have preferred to have access beyond just the ground floor.

Showers spray

Some guests have found the showers to spray water beyond the shower enclosure, and would have liked to see more hooks to hang clothing so that their clothes did not get wet on the floor.
