The hotel is close to the "old town" part of Troyes, where there are many cultural attractions and landmarks. There are also several art galleries and boutiques, as well as dozens of restaurants. Best of all, this is within easy walking distance.
The rooms are spacious and have pleasant decor and features. All units are clean and tidy upon check-in. The beds sleep comfortably and the kitchenette with all the appliances, utensils, and dish ware makes for a nice convenience.
There is a hotel staff on duty for much of the time who are welcoming and who speak English. A private and free parking area is provided and the hotel rates are competitive with others in the area.
There is no kettle for those who enjoy a nice cup of tea. Instead, you'll have to boil water on the stove. Also, heating problems continue for those who stay in the summer as the units do not have air conditioning and the rooms can get quite warm and stuffy.
The showers have a bit of weird layout and tend to flood whenever you take a shower. This results in a lot of clean up with no extra linens provided. The hotel does leave a mop to help with the problem, but mopping after bathing every day is bothersome.
The reception desk is not staffed full time, so problems might have to be ignored. The hotel can get loud without someone there to monitor the levels after quiet hours. Also, some guests have to access a secure box in order to get keys and let themselves in.
