Welcome to Suhl, the gateway to the Thuringian Forest and thus an ideal starting point for hikers, winter sports enthusiasts as well as recreation and adventure seekers! The modern Grand Hotel Suhl ****, part of the HVD hotel chain, is located in the immediate vicinity of the Suhl train station (50 m), 500 m from the congress center. It is only a 5-minute walk to the center. It is 5 km to the next ski slope (Suhl-Goldlauter), 14 km to the cross-country ski trail, 15 km to the winter sports center Oberhof with the DKB ski sports hall. Facilities include the cozy restaurant "Rennsteig", lobby bar with open fireplace, a spacious spa with indoor pool, Finnish sauna and steam room, a professionally equipped gym, event room "Goethe" (about 200 seats, split into two rooms possible) with bar and a beautiful view of the city; Function room "Schiller" (about 20 seats), free parking. For a fee: massages, cosmetic treatments, bicycle and E-Bike rental. The hotel has 98 tastefully decorated guest rooms. They are equipped with shower, hair dryer, bathrobe, sauna towels and slippers, TV, minibar, Wi-Fi and safe. Upon arrival 1 bottle of water for free.
