Rooftop dining was popular

The rooftop eatery here proved to be popular with guests and doubled as a handy meeting place for backpackers and other travellers. The rooftop also benefited from a cooling breeze which was very welcome during the scorching summer months. The local cuisine was reportedly appetising and vegetarians were particularly delighted that they were well catered for.

A very friendly place

The staff members here were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. These elements, reviewers agreed, formed the basis of a happy stay. Guests sometimes said they were even made to feel as if they were members of the family.

Superior rooms at low prices

Given the usually affordable nightly rates, the rooms were well decorated and cleaned to a good standard. Some even had a balcony. Reviewers occasionally said the rooms were among the best budget units they had encountered during their travels around India.

Negative Reviews

Early morning noise

Light sleepers in particular suffered as a result of the early morning noise coming from local temples at times. However, reviewers did add that the surrounding area was generally quiet and tranquil at other times of day.

Inferior bathrooms

One concern that guests had about this accommodation was that the bathroom areas could have been better maintained. There were occasional reports that they could have been more extensively cleaned too.
