Positive Reviews

A very helpful owner

Guests felt that the owner could not have been more helpful or appreciative of the guests’ requirements. There were things that were wrong here but if concerns were addressed in a friendly manner, they were far more likely to be dealt with sympathetically.

An easy walk to the metro station

Although guests report that the city centre is not really within a reasonable walking distance, they have found it easily accessible via the Mansarovar Metro Station service which is less than 15 minutes' walk away.

Authentic dining

Guests who opted for an evening meal here commented on the fact that it consisted of good, rustic food that was served piping hot. A real treat, in fact. Like the rooms, the prices were geared to the needs of guests on a budget.

Negative Reviews

Limited transport availability

It was quite a long walk along the main road known as Kaveri Path to get an auto-rickshaw, though guests without a car found this was the only alternative to using the metro.

Some of the accommodation was not clean

It was agreed that the standards of accommodation varied. Some rooms were in a building detached from the main one and guests staying here were particularly critical of the cleanliness and poor facilities. Dirty bathrooms with accompanying unpleasant smells, broken mirrors and generally less than acceptable decor were among the complaints.

Look out for the air-con con

Guests were surprised that the air conditioning wasn’t a feature in all rooms. This would be a real problem in the summer months but less so during the winter. The reasoning behind the owner’s ruling that those staying in rooms that did not include air conditioning should also often be deprived of hot water was never revealed.
