Positive Reviews

Location is just about perfect

The fact that this hotel is so easily accessible from main routes (namely the Trans-Canada Highway) means it is a doddle to reach by car. The real beauty is though, because of its highly convenient location, you can walk to most places rather than drive once you’ve unpacked and settled in.

Very accommodating reception staff

The team on reception are a pretty dedicated bunch who don’t mind going way beyond their remit to ensure guests experience a truly enjoyable stay. Most of them are very friendly too.

Comfy beds are just the job

It may be an older type hotel but there’s nothing dated or aged about the mattresses in the accommodations. Perfect place to relax and stretch out after a long day of driving...

Negative Reviews

Air-conditioning is pretty poor

Many guests have taken issue with the A/C units in the accommodations. The main complaint is that the ones that work well are noisy and the ones that don’t are no use whatsoever. You’ll just have to hope your stay doesn’t coincide with a heat wave...

Constant smell of smoke

On both floors, in the lobby and even outside some windows (those closest to the de-facto ‘smoking areas’); it seems that you just cannot escape the smell of cigarette smoke at this hotel. Something to keep in mind if you have kids or are intolerant of smoke.

Housekeeping needs improving

Numerous visitors have highlighted the fact that the housekeeping team does little more than the bare minimum when cleaning the accommodations. Room for improvement..?
