Free parking is available at Nakula Stay Kuta, plus luggage storage if required. There are surcharged local and airport shuttle and laundry/dry cleaning services and an outside terrace for relaxation.

Meals may be ordered via room service. Within a few hundred yards, Island Café serves breakfast. Supermarkets include Carrefour and Indomaret. Also within easy walking distance are Garoupa Seafood Restaurant, Layali (Lebanese) and Mama’s German.

The beaches at Legian, Seminyak, Kuta and Double Six, are a mile or so from the hotel. DMZ Museum is popular with visitors and residents. Beachwalk Shopping Center is another focal point for many.

Positive Reviews

A quieter location.

This hotel is a nice, quiet oasis to return to; away from the buzz of nearby areas, beaches and restaurants. It is a bit far from the centre, but that's why the setting is so attractive.

Clean and comfortable.

There are no complaints about the standards of cleanliness and comfort provided. The hotel scores highly on both counts.

Affordable quality.

Members of staff are very friendly and obliging. The rooms are spacious and inviting and there's plenty of storage space. Some of the usual hotel services are missing but you'll be thrilled at the price and value.

Negative Reviews

A confusing turn-off.

When arriving for the first time and as a complete stranger to the area, frustration is the first sensation to be challenged. The lack of any signage indicating the turn-off for the hotel and its location, makes you wonder if you're even in the right area. They really must invest in some clearly visible signs.

The bare necessities.

The kitchen area is ‘just that'! There's next to nothing in it; no refrigerator … nothing! This area needs starting from scratch to include a total upgrade. Plumbing needs some investment too. The smell coming from the bathroom is indescribably rotten. Cleaning standards can fall below what is acceptable as well, with bed linen being particularly suspect on occasions. The Bare Necessities policy also means ... no breakfast!

A holiday drought.

The fact that it is quite a hike to Kuta Beach would be easier to digest if the hotel had a swimming pool. It doesn't and this is a real disappointment for holiday makers. No beach and no pool!
