Positive Reviews

Clean, basic accommodation.

Rooms at the Woolaston Inn are fairly basic and spacious, suitable for couples or small families. The friendly housekeeping staff are attentive and ensure that rooms are very clean, including the en-suite bathrooms. Beds are quite comfortable and bedding is changed regularly which keeps things nice and fresh.

Interesting restaurant, great service.

A major feature at the Woolaston Inn is the Ghurkha Restaurant which serves traditional Nepalese food. The menu is kept very authentic thanks to the efforts of Nepalese chefs, so this is not just an imitation of cultural cuisine. Restaurant service is also friendly and efficient.

Warm and friendly atmosphere.

The hotel staff all display a professional attitude whilst still being warm and approachable with nothing too much trouble for them. The restaurant and bar is very popular with locals who also add quite a bit to the warm and friendly atmosphere.

Negative Reviews

Tired room décor.

Room décor leans more towards the traditional or ‘old fashioned' and may not be everyone's cup of tea. Some may find the room décor to be a bit tired, especially when compared to more modern hotels today.

Room heating issues.

Many find the rooms to be cold upon arrival which has to do with the hotel's policy of keeping room heaters off as long as possible in consideration for the environment.

Poor Wi-Fi signal in rooms.

Wi-Fi signal quality is often an issue in hotels and this is also the case here. The Wi-Fi signal simply isn't strong enough to be useful in the upstairs rooms. There is only a single router in the reception area and is not large enough to provide a decent signal throughout the property.
