About Kesar Bhawan Palace

Kesar Bhawan Palace is an eco-friendly heritage hotel dating back to 1868. Set between natural fauna and flora and lush vegetation, yet only a ten-minute walk from tourist attractions such as Chacha Museum, guests can enjoy the best of both worlds.

Spacious rooms and suites boast wooden floors and en-suite bathrooms with specialty toiletries. Superior rooms are housed in the main palace, with Deluxe Rooms in a separate wing. All include premium TV channels, wardrobe and in-room phone.

Guests can relax in the shared lounge with a gorgeous fireplace, or take a stroll through the gardens and admire the 100-year old trees. A children's outdoor area is also available.

The hotel's in-house restaurant serves delicious local and international dishes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in a relaxing pleasant atmosphere.

Toad Rock, a lookout point for Nakki Lake, is about one kilometre from Kesar Bhawan Palace, as is Raghunath Temple. Nakki Lake Market is 500 metres away, where bargaining skills need to be sharp.

Positive Reviews

Good heritage vibe

All those who stay in the main building rave about the typical heritage feel they get here. The hotel offers a special heritage look about it, and guests add that the old Rajasthani look and warm period-style decor adds a special kind of charm and character to the experience.

Enormous rooms

The rooms are so comfortable and spacious, and travellers find the stunning views from the large windows provides them with such inspiration. They also appreciate the relaxing seating area and super-comfortable beds.

Ideal location

The market is so close, yet the hotel is far enough away from the noise of the crowds. Guests love that they can walk to several tourist attractions, as well as down to Nakki Lake, but are pleased that they can return to the peace and quiet they are looking for.

Negative Reviews

Some maintenance is needed

Visitors report faulty door latches, leaking water in the bathrooms, and doors that don't close properly as several of the items that may require action. Some of the bedding is also faded and suggestions are that it may be time for replacements.

Separate wing is disappointing

Guests who choose to stay in the Deluxe Rooms are not impressed when they compare what they have to the accommodation in the main palace. They don't feel like they're getting the same value for money, and almost end up with the sense of being left out.
