About Muizenberg Beach

Muizenberg Beach is one of the longest beaches in the Cape region and located around 24 km south of Cape Town.
The beach stretches over a length of 30 km from Muizenberg towards the east until Gordon's Bay.

The beach isn't wide but gently slopping. The area around Muizenberg station is less wavy than the rest of the beach and thus more popular with less experienced surfers.
The region around the cape is popular with seals which in turn attract White Sharks. A shark watch service patrols the waters along the beach but no nets are provided and thus it is recommended to be cautious.

A promenade runs along the beach and offers amenities such as beach huts, kiosks, showers, toilets and changing rooms.
At the Muizenberg Pavilion you can also find a mini-golf course and a giant water slide. The cliffs above Muizenberg offer possibilities for rock climbing but parts might be closed during the nesting time of the bird population.
