Accommodation choices consist of 12 one- and two-bedroom en-suite cottages. Typically, they feature a TV, an equipped kitchen, and dining and living areas. Many are suitable for family occupancy and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding region.

Wi-Fi is available in the public areas and there are 24-hour front desk, security, and room services at Camp Noel. Further optional features include guided tours, parking, transportation, laundry and dry cleaning. Activities include cricket and badminton.

Multitudinous dining choices are catered for in the on-site Cafe Venice. There is also a convivial club lounge.

Planned day excursions include those to Periyar Tiger Reserve. It is only a four-mile drive to the vegetable fields, eucalyptus, and conifers of Vattavada. This region offers numerous jeep-safari, mountain-biking, and trekking opportunities.

Positive Reviews

Well worth the journey

It is the location which tops the list of popular attractions. The place is surrounded by forests and greenery and the resort itself offers scope for pleasant, relaxing strolls. The grounds contain fruit-and-vegetable-growing areas. Further afield, driving becomes a pleasure again as guests drive along National Park roads and enjoy the fragrances that only strawberry farms can offer.

Smiling staff

Members of management and staff are very helpful and friendly. They seem to be permanently cheerful as they work to ensure maximum enjoyment for their visitors.

Good for business

This is just the sort of place that companies choose for conferences and motivational exercises for staff. The concept is obviously working as guests note the presence of the well-equipped conference hall on-site.

Negative Reviews

Standard of standard rooms fall short

The stunning views that surround the site cannot be seen from all accommodation units. The cheaper ones, which guests feel are still quite expensive, have no view at all. They are also quite small and cramped and are in fairly busy areas with people milling about.Tranquility is in short supply in these rooms.

Dining can be dreary

Guests rate the food as being not terrible but certainly unimaginative. Breakfast is particularly disappointing and it brings a whole new, and not impressive, meaning to the word, buffet. The place is so remote, though, that it is not realistic to go in search of nearby alternative restaurants. There aren’t any.

Not much fun

The remoteness of the location brings with it a need for facilities with which to occupy guests. These essential features are noticeably lacking here. The place is asking for a swimming pool; also a play area for children would prevent boredom from setting in.
