Positive Reviews

Central location is very handy

Reviewers speak highly of this property's handy central location. Visitors like the fact that, in addition to being within easy reach of key town centres sights like the main bazaar and the heritage museum, this hotel is also conveniently close to the chocolate shops, tea outlets and spice vendors for which Munnar is so famed.

Negative Reviews

Hot water is temperamental

The lack of a consistent hot water supply leaves many guests feeling fed up. Reviews suggest mornings are the only time visitors can (eventually) enjoy a hot shower.

Maintenance and housekeeping is not good

Travellers are scathing in their appraisal of this hotel's approach to maintenance and housekeeping. Significant issues like broken door locks, stained linen, peeling wall paint, broken bathroom tiles, unpleasant aromas and mouldy surfaces are all reported far too frequently. Reviewers also take issue with the bugs, lizards and spiders that are seemingly allowed to take up residence in the bathrooms on a permanent basis.

Disappointing dining experience

Guests are unimpressed by the food options offered at this property. However, it's not the rather limited choice which reviewers are dissatisfied by, it's the fact the hotel buys its food ready-cooked from a nearby street vendor and then sells it on to guests at a higher cost.
