Positive Reviews

Excellent dining

Gourmet travellers, and those just after a decent meal, seem to be very happy during their stay here. They report that the North Indian food served in the in-house restaurant is top class and makes for a very satisfying dining experience.

Facilities are good

Guests are impressed with the rooms, particularly those with a balcony and overlooking the gardens. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast and other meals are enjoyed and the facilities for fitness, snooker and table tennis mean that guests are happy to stay on-site, rather than travel further afield in search of entertainment.

Plenty of outdoor space

Families, in particular, rejoice in the impressive areas of very attractive outdoor space. This, guests feel, must be an essential element in the hotel’s obvious attraction as a venue for conferences, wedding receptions and social events. The gardens are ideal, though, for children to run around, let off steam and watch the resident ducks and wildlife.

Negative Reviews

A confusing question of hotel identity

Upon arrival, guests are somewhat bewildered to find two hotels. They bear almost identical titles and sit next to each other. There is even more confusion when it becomes clear that the two businesses are in no way connected. At the end of a long journey, guests need to be on their toes to avoid booking into the right establishment, and avoid the wrong one.

The location is not central

The hotel enjoys its spacious setting due to the out of town location. Guests feel that some form of transportation is required as it is not possible to just step outside and wander around the city centre.
