Parking is free. There are terrace and garden areas. Optional facilities include billiards, table tennis and a card room. Further services include car hire and there are extensive areas for conferences, social activities and wedding celebrations.

Asian and Continental breakfast selections are served daily and later restaurant menus feature Chinese, Mughlai and even pizza choices. Nearby alternatives include Royal Cafe which is open from early morning and is a one-minute walk away. Open from a little later, and another popular breakfast venue is Sharma Vaishnav Bhojnalaya.

Positive Reviews

An easy walk to attractions

It is an easy walk of about 20 minutes to Mall Road and many guests are known to take refreshments en-route at Café Coffee Day. Eco Cave Gardens are even closer to the hotel and the excitement of exploring the caves provides fun for all the family. Access is, it has to be said, easier for slimmer people.

Negative Reviews

Golden days are tarnished by lack of care

This is an old property with, if those walls could only speak, many tales to tell. Guests feel that it is a pity that rather than invest in and maximise on the historic appeal, the building has been allowed to fall into some disrepair. Consequently, any possible attraction is severely diminished. Even if a grander style ever existed, those golden days seem to be tarnished for a long time to come. The result is some genuine regret on the part of guests; a sentiment which is accompanied by substantial dissatisfaction with the standards with which they are faced.

Spreading a little unhappiness

Members of staff tend to be rather glum and do little to lift the spirits of guests. They seem to be strangely disinterested in any activity which does not involve some kind of financial reward. Service is quite lethargic. This leads to frustration at the front desk and lengthy waits for food in the restaurant.

It is noisy at the back

Rooms are noisy and of poor quality; particularly those to the rear and near the staff quarters. They also suffer as a result of children playing noisily outside in the street. There is no noise from the inactive TV though. It is obviously very old, just like the rest of the hotel, and guests wonder if it has worked at all in recent years.
