Positive Reviews

Friendly staff

Everyone here is very nice and as helpful as they can be given that language is sometimes an issue.

The location can’t be faulted

That short walk to the Termini metro means that the door is opened to easy access to all the city’s attractions. This immediate area is OK, but nothing fancy. Consequently, bars, restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood are reasonably priced.

Good value

If you are in Rome on a strict budget, you’ll be very happy with the value you receive.

Negative Reviews

Security issues

The accommodation doesn’t occupy the entire building; just one floor of it. Consequently, there are many people using the main access door and it seems that most tend to leave it open as an invitation for others to enter. They advertise that the front desk is manned at all times. It is not.

Plugging the gaps

It’s OK but there are some cleanliness issues which could be sorted with a thorough cleaning exercise throughout. The fact that towels aren’t replaced regularly is a further reflection on their lack of enthusiasm for housekeeping. Just one little thing can cause so much inconvenience as instanced by the lack of a plug in the bath. Sitting on the plug-hole is not recommended as a solution. As if to add insult to injury, the supply of hot water is, in any case, unreliable.

A hotel, it isn’t

Rooms are elderly. The TV doesn’t work in the room which, itself, is very cramped. The air-con is similar to the TV. Beds are very old and so, too, are the mattresses. In fact, the line needs to be drawn between hotels and guesthouses and what amounts to a room in someone’s apartment complex – which is what this is.
