About Saltburn Beach

Saltburn's beach stretches for almost 13 kilometres, making it one of the longest beaches in the north east of England. Its pier, the most northerly in Britain is located approximately halfway along the beach.

The beach is surrounded by high sea cliffs and can be accessed via Victorian tramcars that go and down the cliff side. A promenade runs along the beach close to the pier and includes cafes, bars and gift shops. There are two pay and display car parks adjacent to the beach.

The beach is mentioned in the Good Beach Guide and has an award for water quality.
The long distance walk "The Cleveland Way" passes close to this beach.
