Situated in a scenic national park, the H4 Hotel Frankfurt Messe offers modern, four star accommodations with private balconies.
The H4 Hotel Frankfurt Messe offers smoke-free rooms, all of which include air-conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, and flat screen televisions with satellite channels.
Guests can work up a sweat in the sauna, or keep up with work in the 24-hour business centre. The fitness centre offers an impressive view of the Frankfurt skyline. Segways are available to rent at the 24-hour front desk.
The on-site restaurant, Terra, features European cuisine and is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests will also find many ethnic restaurants within a few miles of the hotel. Guests can also enjoy a drink at the hotel bar.
Guests will find an array of cultural attractions within three miles, including Messeturm, Senckenberg Museum, Hoechst Castle, and Messe Frankfurt.
According to guests, the hotel rooms are clean, quiet and quite spacious with plenty of towels and a comfortable bed. Those guests at the sixth-floor level or above facing the forest get to enjoy beautiful views of the lush greenery surrounding the hotel.
Perfect for business meetings
The no-frills hotel seems to cater to business travelers, and its services are perfect as the hotel provides conference rooms, parking and fast Wi-Fi.
Solid breakfast to start your day
Guests remarked that the variety of breakfast foods was a pleasant surprise and that its quality ingredients were quite tasty.
If you have to attend an event at the Messezentrum, this location is convenient as it is only a 7-minute car ride away. However, if you are a tourist you are better off with a hotel closer to the city center, because this hotel is not the most convenient to access anything other than the fair area. There is no variety of restaurants or stores within walking distance, so you have to either take your car or get a taxi to explore the area.
Several guests reported that the hotel was sorely understaffed, as the front desk, housekeeping and room service not always answering the phone, the airport shuttle not appearing, and the waiters having a hard time serving their dining guests.
Signs of aging
Guests pointed out that the hotel is starting to show signs of aging, as they recommend that the old, slow elevators undergo maintenance. They also reported that the air-conditioning seemed to be in need of work as well, since it could not provide sufficient coolness in the rooms.
