It is surrounded by Trikuta mountains on one side & Saroli Dhar a high peak with an altitude of approx. 10000 feet on another side. Inspite of being so near to Jammu, it receives heavy snowfall in winters & in the monsoon season of 3 months it is covered by clouds all the time.
