Located just 2.5 hours from Cape Town, on your journey to the north you will end up on the famous Route 62 that will introduce you to a diverse feast of breath-taking mountain scenery, wine farms, farmstalls, restaurants, orchards and finally, the majestic (and award winning) town of Montagu. Following a 30-kilometre dirt road (approximately a 45-minute drive) towards Ourberg/Touwsriver, you will arrive at African Game Lodge. Worth the journey! Here, on the 4500 hectares privately owned game reserve, you will be able to immerse yourself in your own thoughts, nature, peace and quiet while sitting on your stoep, having a sundowner and braai, reading a book, or just doing nothing at all. What makes us unique are the various historically rich remains of inhabitants and archaeological events long before our time. With no cell-phone reception and running an extensive solar system, our sustainable approach ensures that we support local and global impact. Our guests can enjoy nature without expense to the environment. We share our space with a host of animals both big and small.
