Situated in the Main Town area, on the Long Market (part of the Royal Route), near the Neptune Fountain, Dwor Artusa (Arthurs Court) is one of the principal attractions of Gdansk. The first court was built around 1350 and the members still had jousting tornaments then. Later on the knightly customs were replicated in the social life:meetings and feasts, celebrations and weddings. It also acted as a theatre and a stock exchange. The interior contains a lot of original art works and fittings, including the oldest bar in Poland (with a tin counter) and the tallest tiled stove in Europe, measuring over 30 feet in height and dating back to 1545.
