Dar Al Jaziri Palace (Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia)

Dar Jaziri is a small free museum situated within the confines of a souvenir shop and art gallery. Visitors will discover the interior of a traditional house of Arabo-Andalusian style with its central patio and faience tiles. Sidi Chérif, a disciple of marabout Sidi Bou Said, a religious figure who gave the town his name, is said to have lived in this house five hundred years ago. The roof terrace offers a view over the town, the North of Tunis and nearby towns. The collections show examples of Tunisian ceramic from various eras, covering 2 500 years.
