Pollat Gorge (Schwangau, Germany)

Von vielen unentdeckt, da die meisten den direkten Weg hinauf zum Schloss Neuschwanstein nehmen. Aber gerade im Sommer bietet sich die Schlucht als herrliche Alternative, sowohl für den Aufstieg als auch für den Abstieg. Der Weg bis zur Schlucht ist von unten leider nicht gut ausgeschildert. Von oben ist der Weg jedoch leicht zu finden. Auf dem Weg vom Schloss in Richtung Marienbrücke geht links ein kleiner Weg mit Wegweiser ab. Über eine Vielzahl von Stufen kann man dort in die Schlucht hinabsteigen und kommt schliesslich beim grossen Wasserfall unterhalb der Marienbrücke an. Von dort geht der Weg am Bach entlang weiter bergab. Folgt man dem Wegverlauf so kommt man schlussendlich wieder kurz vor dem Parkplatz wieder auf die eigentliche Route. Der Weg von unten ist an sich derselbe, nur ist der Anfang etwas schwieriger zu finden. Gegenüber des grossen Parkplatzgeländes sind nochmals kleine Kiesparkplätze, dort geht eine kleine Teerstrasse weg, auf der man auch zum Schloss kommt. Nach kurzer Zeit zweigt dann aber ein Weg in Richtung Schlucht ab. Auf einem Holzschilde ist auch die Pöllatschlucht mit ungefährer Laufzeit angeschrieben. Der Weg ist frei zugänglich und es wird kein Eintritt erhoben. Im Winter ist jedoch Vorsicht geboten da Rutschgefahr, vor allem auf den Metallgeländern an den engen Stellen.
