The Museum of Liverpool is the city’s newest museum and opened in 2011. It is located at Pier Head, close to the Albert Dock and the Liver Building. There was previously a museum nearby called the Museum of Liverpool Life, but this has now been closed and replaced by the new MOL. The museum offers a custom-designed exhibition space reflecting a wide range of aspects of life in the city from the history of the city, through local transport and other aspects of life, and with areas focused on the city’s twin passions of music and football. The museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm daily and is free of charge. The top-floor multimedia exhibitions required free, timed-entry tickets in order to control visitor numbers. A cafe is available on the ground floor and lockers for leaving bags and other belongings are provided free of charge. Disability access is excellent.
Museum of Liverpool is a top attraction in Liverpool, known for its unique features that attract numerous visitors each year.
