The Sealife London Aquarium is housed in what used to be London’s old County Hall and sits on the south bank of the river Thames, near to the London Eye and Westminster Bridge. It is part of the international chain of Sealife centres and is home to one of the largest collections of marine life in Europe. Displays allow visitors to learn about the life and behaviour of a wide range of marine creatures from tiny sea horses up to large sharks with everything in between. There are frequent talks and displays as well as regular feeding times when visitors can watch the animals being cared for. Admission to the aquarium is £16 (€18) for adults and £11.75 (€13) for children between 3 and 14 years old. Reductions are available for students, seniors, disabled visitors and their carers and special ‘family’ tickets are also available. The aquarium is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday with closing time one hour later on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and at 20:00 on bank holidays and during the school holidays. The site was previously known as the London Aquarium.
